


The center here offers on-going 21 day basic courses in Insight Meditation based on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness for new students and 10 day Insight Meditation retreats for those who have completed the basic course. Shorter stays may be permitted depending upon room availability.
Rooms should be reserved at least several weeks in advance during the busy seasons (winter months, Thai holidays and rainy season).
The courses are individually instructed and the dates are according to room availability.
Students are required to observe the Eight Buddhist Precepts and the meditation center rules to promote and protect the meditative environment. Wake up time at 4am, breakfast at 6am, lunch at 11am, no evening meal.
White clothing is available at the office. Basic Thai style vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are offered, there are no special provisions for diabetic, vegan, gluten-free or other special dietary needs.
Daily interviews and meditation instructions are given. Sleeping time at 10pm for 6 hours or less, the course is fairly rigorous and requires self discipline and motivation, but is also suitable for interested beginners.
Passports with valid visa are required for registration, all visa, travel arrangements and communications should be taken care of in advance to arrival at the center.
This is a Buddhist pilgrimage site and busy meditation center which is very popular with Thai people, at times there are large groups of meditation students and devotees for religious festivals and meditation gatherings.
