Sabaidee Santitham Restaurant

Sabaidee Santitham Restaurant is one of the latest bar/restaurants to open up in Santhitham, the rapidly expanding gay area of Chiang Mai. Sabaidee Santitham Restaurant is located next to the Santhitham Guest House and is under the same management.

On entering the bar area you are immediately confronted with a long curved counter in the middle of which is a glass topped, sunken aquarium running the full length. The bar menu offers the usual spirits, cocktails, beers and soft drinks.

The restaurant area of Sabaidee is a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating . At one end of the restaurant is a pleasant bas-relief waterfall feature whose falling water adds to the calming atmosphere of the restaurant. There are numerous tables, which can be added/separated according to the size of the dining party, and all the chairs have cushions. A novel touch is the two raised salas with highly polished teak floors with low tables, cushions and mawn kwan triangular pillows providing a back rest. These two salas are tastefully decorated with curtains and flowers and sit atop a large water feature. A visit to the rest room is to be highly recommended!
Prices are amazingly low for the high quality food offered in their extensive Thai menu and all drinks are reasonably priced.
