Animal Show - Chiang Mai
A visit to an Animal Show s in Chiang Mai is extremely popular with visitors both young and old, but an Animal Show in Chiang Mai has another more important function than just entertainment. As technology advances and habitats dwindle, conservation has become the main concern. It is through the hard work and dedication of the workers at the various Farms and Camps that we are still able to enjoy and study these animals.
Love them or loathe them there are Snakes in Chiang Mai, lots of them. Fortunately they are safely contained in the Snake Farms where you can watch them in safety as their fearless (or slightly insane) handlers put them through their paces.
For something a little more cuddly there are various Monkey Schools where you can watch the monkeys as they are trained for work or simply having fun.
Elephants have a close association with Chiang Mai and unfortunately their numbers are dwindling. Several camps have elephant shows and you will also have an opportunity to ride on one of these magnificent creatures.
Going back into the past but looking to the future, there is a Buffalo School training the animals for work. You can still see many buffalos working in the fields around the city.
